About Michael Coppola

An information technology entrepreneur with extensive experience in law enforcement, Michael Coppola founded CJIS Solutions, which he manages as president. The Little Falls, New Jersey, company provides cloud storage services for law enforcement agencies challenged by increasingly complex data and electronic documentation demands. Michael Coppola’s firm meets these demands while maintaining data security by housing servers in hardened facilities that meet or exceed the CJIS Security Policy's requirements.

Michael Coppola has an innate understanding of the unique needs of law enforcement agencies, having led one such agency for several years. As chief of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department in Alpine, New Jersey, he designed and deployed the organization’s server and computer network. The department’s technological renovation involved ending its reliance on desktop computers in favor of a virtualized system.

In his private life, Michael Coppola actively pursues photography, and his pictures have appeared in hundreds of publications. He is a survivor of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and helped record the aftermath by taking photos that were later included in the September 11th Photo Project conducted by A&E Television.
